University of California NEH Senior Research Fellowship in USA, 2019

CAORC offers two fellowship programs, the NEH Senior Research Fellowship and Multi-Country Research Fellowship, which allow fellows to visit and carry out research within our network of Overseas Research Centers. Fellowship stipends are $4,200 per month for a total of four consecutive months.

The CAORC National Endowment for the Humanities Senior Research Fellowship Program supports advanced research in the humanities for U.S. postdoctoral scholars and foreign national postdoctoral scholars who have been residents in the U.S. for three or more years. 

Scholarship Description:

  • Application deadline: January 24, 2019
  • Course Level:  Scholarships are available to study postdoctoral fellowship
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are available for history, philosophy, religious studies, literature, literary criticism, and visual and performing arts
  • Scholarship Award: The award is available for Approximately eight awards of up to $10,500 each will be given
  • Nationality: The scholarship is available to be U.S. citizens or foreign nationals.
  • Number of scholarship: Number not given.
  • Scholarship can be taken in US

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: Eligible countries for 2019 are: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Cyprus, Georgia, Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Senegal, Sri Lanka, or Tunisia
  • Entrance Requirement: You must:
  • Carry out research in a country which hosts a participating American overseas research center. Eligible countries for 2019 are: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Cyprus, Georgia, Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Senegal, Sri Lanka, or Tunisia
  • be postdoctoral scholars
  • be U.S. citizens or foreign nationals who have been residents in the U.S. for three or more years prior to the application deadline
  • be able to carry out research for four consecutive months between the period of May 2019 and November 2020
  • Applications for the NEH Senior Research Fellowship are now available
