The University of Reading is inviting applications for students of India and other developing countries. These scholarships are available for pursuing full-time MPhil/PhD programme or Taught Masters programme in September 2017.

The Felix Trustees have indicated that one scholarship available to students from ‘developing countries’ is aimed primarily at candidates from Africa and excludes “all Western countries, including most of the European Community, and China / Taiwan”.

The University of Reading is a public university located in Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom. It was established in 1892 as University College, Reading and received its Royal Charter in 1926 from King George V. Study Subject: Scholarships awarded within the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Scholarship Award: ZLC will award a number of scholarships consisting of reduction in tuition for the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program, which currently amounts to €24,000.   • Partner country (category A) students are not from Programme countries (see below) and who are not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of these countries.
  • Programme country (category B) students are from the European Union states and related countries : Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, United Kingdom + former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey. Partner country students who had a stay for more than 12 months over the last five years in these countries are considered as Programme country (category B).

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: The EMARO+ Masters course is open to students who already hold a first university degree with the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits in the European system, after at least three years studies, at the level of Bachelor of Science, in a field related to robotics such as:

  • Mechatronic, Automatic control,
  • Electrical Engineering,
  • Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering,
  • Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.

The graduation must take place before 31 July for non-Europeanstudents and before 30 September for European students.

English Language Requirement: The applicants have to be fluent in English, both in writing and speaking. An applicant whose native language is not English is required to pass a recognized international English test such as:

  • TOEFL (score 220 CBT, 550 PBT, 80 IBT),
  • Cambridge Advanced English Test (score B or higher),
  • IELTS (score 6.5 or higher),
  • TOEIC (800).

No other test is recognized. Applicants who carried out their studies in English (official confirmation letter from their university is needed) are eligible without providing such a test, but providing the results of a recognized international test can add value to their application.

Masters Scholarships

  • Applicants cannot combine this scholarship with a full scholarship (for tuition fees and living costs) from any other source. Mälardalen University is offering fully-funded master scholarships for the academic year 2017-2018. These scholarships are open to international students and cover 100% of the tuition fee of the programme.

The scholarship is aimed at especially qualified students coming from countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland and who are required to pay tuition fees.

Mälardalen University (abbreviated MDH) is one of Sweden’s large institutes of higher education. The University has over 14,000 students studying our 52 programmes and 1,000 courses, and almost 900 faculty and staff. MDH is characterised by close partnerships with businesses and the public sector in the region, making their University attractive to students – and students attractive on the labour market.

International master’s programmes are taught in English in Sweden. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English in order to meet the entry requirements.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship will cover 100% of the tuition fee of the programme as long as you follow the normal study plan (minimum 22.5 credits/semester, minimum 45 credits/academic year). The scholarship does not cover living expenses. If your status from being a fee-paying student to a non-paying student is changed during the study period of the programme you will no longer be granted the scholarship.

Scholarship can be taken in the Sweden

Eligibility: To be admitted to courses and study programmes at first-cycle or second cycle level, the applicant is required to have general entry requirements and furthermore any specific entry requirements that may be prescribed.

Nationality: Students coming from countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland are eligible to apply. The scholarship is not open for students from the twelve countries with which Sweden has long-term development cooperation (Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia). Students from these countries should instead apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship
