Eligibility

Candidates for this scholarship will need to demonstrate: (a) outstanding academic achievement and promise (b) aptitude for business and financial management (c) leadership potential and (d) a commitment to contributing to their country or region at some point in the future.

ESSAY TOPIC

  1. Briefly discuss the requirements for successful business leadership in your country today. Describe how you envisage contributing to the future development of your country after graduation and why you should be considered for this award. (200 words)
  2. Briefly discuss measures required for sustainable agriculture in your country/region in the context of urban and rural development. Focus on what you consider to be the most important element (450 words)
  3. Provide a concise but accurate description of your financial circumstances as well as a cash flow forecast for the year at INSEAD (details of income set against expenditures). (150-200 words)

DEADLINES:
Each year, the submission of applications is for two classes — the July class (starts in September) and the December class (starts in January).

For the July 2017 class, application submissions for Round 1 OPENS 26th October 2015 and CLOSES 9th November 2015; while Round 2 applications OPEN 16 November 2015 and CLOSES 30 November 2015.

For the December 17 Class, application submissions for Round 1 OPENS 4th April 2016 and CLOSES 19th April 2016; while Round 2 applications OPEN 23rd May 2016 and CLOSES 6th June 2016.

University of Edinburgh UK Masters Scholarships for South Africans

Applications are invited for University of Edinburgh Southern African Scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University. Scholarships are awarded to students from Southern African countries who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master’s programme of study or PhD degree programme. Scholarship covers the overseas rate of tuition fee and university accommodation for the duration of the postgraduate degree programme.

The University of Edinburgh will offer two University of Edinburgh Southern African Scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University to students from Southern African countries.

Selection Criteria:

University College Lillebaelt Scholarship, Denmark 2016

University College Lillebaelt is pleased to offer scholarships for Non-EU students for the year 2016. Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate degree programme. The university’s aim is to examine the impact of the division between further and higher education on strategies to widen participation in undergraduate education. University College Lillebaelt offers education programmes contributing to the ongoing development of society and is happy to welcome international students

If applicants want to enroll as a full time ordinary student, they must be able to speak Danish fluently and otherwise meet the same requirements as Danish students.

Degree Level: Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate degree programme.

Study Subject: Applicants can only apply for the scholarship to study at the Department of Social Education, the Department of Teacher Education or the Department of Nursing. All three departments are located in Odense.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this Scholarship:-

  • applying to participate in one of the above-mentioned courses
  • a citizen of a country outside the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland
  • Enrolled in a full degree higher education programme in their home country related to either nursing, social education or teacher education.
    Applicants are not eligible to apply for a scholarship if they:
  • are studying in Denmark on the grounds of a bilateral exchange agreement
  • have a legal claim to the rights of Danish citizenship
  • have been granted a residence permit at the time of the application admission by the Danish Aliens Consolidations Act §9c, subsection 1, as the child of a foreign citizen who has been granted a residence permit in accordance with the Danish Aliens Consolidations Act §9a, and who is a citizen of a country that is not acceded to the EU or covered by the EEA agreement
  • are a student who is eligible for a grant in accordance with Danish Law regarding the State Education Fund
  • are from an EU applicant country such as Turkey.

Eligible Nationalities: Citizen of a country outside the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland is eligible to apply for this Scholarship programme.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: It is important to stress that all of our full degree bachelor programmes are taught in Danish, and if they want to enroll as a full time ordinary student, applicants must be able to speak Danish fluently and otherwise meet the same requirements as Danish students.

English language/Test Requirements: Applicants have to provide:
-High school transcripts documenting level of English, grade achieved, and if possible number of hours taken.
-Documentation of any English language proficiency tests they may have taken (TOELF, IELTS, and CAE etc.)
-Any further documentation of their English proficiency such as courses, longer stays in English speaking countries etc.
-Once we have evaluated their documentation of English proficiency, we may call they for a phone interview to ensure that their level is sufficient to study at University College Lillebælt.

Scholarship Benefit: This will cover tuition and contribute to living expenses while studying at UCL. The scholarship covers the tuition fee for one semester (4 months), and additionally applicants will receive approximately 6000 DKK each month to contribute to their living expenses.

Study in Hungary with the IBS Starter Scholarship for Undergraduates

Students should first apply online for the Bachelor programme of IBS and upload the required documents (high school diploma or latest transcript if diploma is not acquired yet, passport and IELTS or TOEFL language certificate).

Students are supposed to indicate simultaneously their respective wish to be granted IBS Starter scholarship by emailing to scholarship-at-ibs-b.hu.

 

Applications will be approved by the Rector and there is no appeal against his decision. If scholarship is approved, students must pay the remaining part of their tuition fee latest until 31 May 2016.

Danish State Tuition Fee Waivers and Scholarships at Roskilde University 2016

A limited number of Danish state tuition fee waivers and scholarships are offered to highly talented students at graduate level, who come from countries outside of the EU/EEA and need a residence permit to study at Roskilde University.
