Bachelor Programme: Requirements for admission to study at our university include general matriculation standards for entering a higher education institution or advanced technical college entrance qualification. Equivalent certificates from foreign schools shall also be recognized accordingly. Comparable certificates include, for example: High School Diploma, Matura, A-Levels, Bachillerato or International Baccalaureate/IB Diploma. Should no school leaving certificate/diploma be available, the last certificate you received may also be submitted.

Master Programme: The admission requirements for our CBS Master programmes are a first academic qualification (Bachelor of Arts, Diploma, Master of Arts) with a minimum of 180 ECTS-Credits of a recognised German or international university, university of applied sciences or university of cooperative education with a final grade of at least “good”. Applicants who have not attained this grade in their first study course must take a separate entrance examination. The degree should be business-related.

Entrance Requirement: Candidates should normally have a good UK master’s degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant subject.

English language Requirements: Applicants (new admissions, i.e. starting in September 2016) must meet the English language condition of their offer of admission to study at SOAS as soon as possible but no later than 1 June 2016. If their offer is conditional on English, they have to arrange their English test and ensure they meet the English requirements as soon as possible.

Swedish Institute Fully Funded Study Scholarships for Developing Countries, 2018

Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden is inviting applications for Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS). Scholarships are awarded to students from selected countries for full-time master’s level studies in Sweden starting in the autumn semester 2018.

The goal is to enable the scholarship holders to play an active role in the positive development of the societies in which they live.

SISS is the Swedish government’s international awards scheme aimed at developing global leaders. It is funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden and administered by the Swedish Institute (SI).

Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for full-time master’s level studies at the Swedish Universities.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the universities.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship covers both tuition fees (paid directly to the Swedish university/university college by the Swedish Institute) and living expenses to the amount of SEK 9,000 per month. There are no additional grants for family members. The scholarship period cannot be altered or extended beyond the study programme period, nor can the scholarship be transferred to a study programme other than the awarded one.
Travel grants: Scholarship holders from countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients receive a travel grant in connection with their scholarship. The travel grant is a one-time payment of SEK 15,000.
Insurance: Scholarship holders are insured by the Swedish State Group Insurance and Personal Insurance against illness and accident during the scholarship period.

Eligibility: The Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS) aims at diversity. Institute welcomes applicants regardless of age, gender or religious beliefs. Applicants must come from a SISS-eligible country, and show proof of work and leadership experience. Scholarships will only be granted to candidates who have followed the steps of the university admission and been admitted to one of the eligible master programmes in Sweden. The programme is open to three different categories of countries. Approximately 100 scholarships within each category will be available.

Wehrung International Student Award can be renewed for up to three additional years of undergraduate study, or to degree completion, whichever is less, provided the recipient achieves satisfactory academic standing in their faculty, continues to demonstrate financial need, and maintains their Canadian Study Permit (visa).

What does it cover? The value of awards is commensurate with demonstrated financial need and sufficient to cover tuition costs for the relevant program of study and living expenses.

How to Apply: Students who are interested in this award must ask their counsellor to request a nomination package. Recognized international, community-based, and non-governmental organizations may also be able to make nominations. Nominees must also complete the online application for academic admission to UBC and meet the UBC English Language Admission Requirement by December 1, 2017. Although applicants to UBC can specify two program choices in their application for admission, an ISHA nomination will be considered only in relation to the nominee’s first choice program.
