CIFOR-USAID Master’s Fellowships for Indonesian Students in USA, 2017

The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) are pleased to announce master’s degree opportunities for 25 highly qualified Indonesian candidates. These fellowships are awarded to study forest and biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and related disciplines in the United States.

The program is administered by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). CIFOR will match qualified candidates with participating US university partners, and will assist candidates with various aspects of the university application process. Participating US universities are the University of Florida, University of Missouri, Northern Arizona University, and Yale University.

Sufficient TOEFL English language exam score as required by the admitting partner university.

Course Level: Scholarships is available for pursuing master’s degree programme at US Universities.

Study Subject: Scholarships is awarded to study forest and biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and related disciplines

Scholarship Award: The two-year fellowship covers tuition fees and living and travel expenses, as well as opportunities to carry out field research in Indonesia linked to CIFOR projects.

Scholarship can be taken in the USA

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines, including but not limited to: forestry, agroforestry, biology, soil conservation and management, wildlife management and biodiversity conservation, forest economics, business administration, anthropology, sociology and gender studies.
  • Sufficient TOEFL English language exam score as required by the admitting partner university.
  • Sufficient US Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score as required by the admitting partner university.
  • Prior work experience in forestry, natural resource management and related fields desirable.

Nationality: Indonesian students can apply for master’s fellowships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have must a bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines.

Test Requirement: No Sufficient US Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score as required by the admitting partner university

English Language Requirement: Sufficient TOEFL English language exam score as required by the admitting partner university.
