THE SHORT COURSE PROGRAMME

Marshal Papworth Scholarships for Developing Countries funds a Level 3 certificate in agriculture. This is a 10-week short course in partnership with Shuttleworth College.The 10-week short course is where students learn vocational skills in animal and crop husbandry, machinery operations, IT and study a Special Marshal Papworth module in small scale business management.Upon completion of this course students will receive a Level 3 Certificate in Agriculture, validated by Edexcel which is an internationally recognised awarding body.

Apply for ESMT MBA Scholarships in Germany, 2016

European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) is now accepting applications for international engineers scholarship. The scholarships are available for pursuing master degree programme at ESMT in Germany.

Scholarships are allocated based on academic excellence, personal and professional achievement, leadership potential and interpersonal skills. ESMT faculty publishes in top academic journals. Additionally, the business school provides an interdisciplinary platform for discourse between politics, business, and academia.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: To apply, master’s in Management candidates need to have a previous degree (at least Bachelor’s equivalent). Candidates with outstanding backgrounds who complete an engineering or applied science degree in a top technology university in any country.

Test Requirement: Proof of strong quantitative abilities, whether with a GMAT/GRE or significant mathematics courses during the bachelor’s studies (see university’s next tab about the GMAT). The average GMAT score is 640. ESMT’s GMAT code is 7121. University also accepts GRE scores, and the designated institution (DI) code is 7768.

English Language Requirements: TOEFL scores (95 minimum) or equivalent proof of English fluency. Code is 8707.

Supporting Material: Applicants can start their online application any time. The application is easy to follow, and will ask students for the following information:

Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) is pleased to offer training scholarship for developing countries students. Scholarship is available for pursuing training in a hospital in Australia and New Zealand. Scholarship is offered to foster leadership in anaesthesia, including intensive care and pain medicine in developing countries. The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) is the professional organisation for around 5000 specialist anaesthetists (Fellows) and 2000 anaesthetists in training (trainees).

Applicants must be a graduate of his or her country’s specialty training program to local fellowship or masters level. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

The University of Laval Canada offers scholarships for international students from outside of France who wish to study for a Masters degree program at the university.

The purpose of this Master’s Scholarships for International Students program is to promote academic excellence by offering scholarships to foreign students who are citizens of an African or European country (other than France) and are admitted to a master’s program at Université Laval.

The tuition fee waiver and scholarship has a maximum length of 22 months for programmes that start in September.

In order to be eligible to apply for a tuition fee waiver and scholarship, you must be a non-EU/EEA citizen that is required to pay tuition fees.

If you do not have a bachelor’s degree from Denmark or have completed more than one bachelor’s degree, and one of them is completed outside of Denmark or have completed a 1½ years top-up bachelor’s degree in Denmark on basis of a degree completed outside of Denmark and/or are a non-EU/EEA citizen and need a residence permit based on studies, you must apply for admission no later than 1 March for the September entry.

£10,000 UK Global Scholarship for Bachelors, Masters and PhD Students 2016

The ISIC Association, StudyPortals and British Council IELTS are launching The Global Study Awards for international students from any country to study in any educational institution OUTSIDE of their own country.

The Global Study Awards recognizes studying abroad as a positively life changing experience for many students, opening their minds to alternative ways of personal life and professional career, as well as promoting intercultural understanding and tolerance.

The winners will be selected based on how the students plan to make an impact on society, and improve their intercultural skills through their studies.

Eligibility
The Global Study Awards is designed to support highly motivated, talented individuals who can actively demonstrate:

  • their potential to contribute to society through their studies;
  • a strong commitment to developing their career;
  • their sincere interest in increasing intercultural understanding and exchange.

Successful candidates will be willing to engage with the British Council IELTS, ISIC and StudyPortals communities, and publicly share their experiences with other students.

The Global Study Awards will be available to prospective students in all countries worldwide.

The Global Study Awards will enable the successful candidate(s) to study abroad, on any chosen undergraduate or postgraduate programme at a higher education institution. The Global Study Awards cannot be used by a successful candidate to study domestically.

Selection criteria:
From the eligible candidates the Global Study Awards holders should:

  • be 18 years or over
  • have taken an IELTS test at a British Council center, and receive an official Test Report Form (TRF) issued by the British Council
  • have a valid International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and/or International Youth Travel Card (IYTC)
  • plan to enroll on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme abroad between 1 January 2016 and 30 April 2016 or 1 August 2016 and 31 October 2016
  • provide an acceptance letter from the relevant institution
  • write a short review of your study experience at STeXX.com

The Global Study Awards will be offered to 9 students who will be starting their studies in 2016. Up to four awards will be granted in the first round, while Up to five awards with be granted in the second round.

Scholarship benefits
An individual global study award has a maximum value of £10,000.

The Award prize will be applied toward the cost of tuition fees in the first instance, paid directly to the Higher Education Institution that the successful candidate will attend.

If tuition fees are below the maximum individual award fund of £10,000, the remaining funds may be allocated per diem for living costs for a maximum of 52 weeks starting from when the student first registered at the higher education institution.

The top three World Scholars will receive a tuition waiver of up to $20,000. Those with a Grade Point Average of 80% or above will be eligible for scholarships up to $2500. Subject to satisfactory progress, the awards are tenable for up to three years.

As a York World Scholar applicant, you will also be automatically considered for the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies International Student Entrance Scholarship. Eligible candidates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) between 90% and 94.9% will receive $2,000; candidates with a GPA of 95% or higher will receive $3000.

International applicants can apply through the Ontario Universities Application Center (OUAC) (if they are interested in applying to other Ontario Universities) OR they can use the York online application (if they are interested in applying to York only). After submitting the OUAC application, two statements of interest are required:

a. A statement of 400 words describing the double major combination you have chosen and why.
b. A statement of 200 words explaining who you envision yourself to be in the next five years.

Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program

The  Joint Japan World Bank  Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) sponsors students from developing countries to pursue one of the preferred and partner masters programs at participating Universities around the world.

JJ/WBGSP scholars must commit to returning home to their country upon graduation in order to use their enhanced knowledge and skills towards their community’s, country’s, or region’s development.

Please note all JJ/WBGSP partner and preferred masters programs are 2 years or less and the scholarship covers the duration of the program.

Eligibility:

The applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Be a national of a World Bank member country eligible to borrow.

• Not be a dual citizen of any developed country.

• Be under the age of 45 on the Application Deadline date.

• Not be an Executive Director, his/her alternate, and/or staff of all types of appointments of the World Bank Group.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent university degree) earned before 2013.

• Have at least 3 years of development-related experience since earning a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent university degree) and within the past six years from the date of the Application Deadline.

• Have been accepted unconditionally (except for funding) to enroll in the upcoming academic year in one of the JJ/WBGSP preferred university master’s programs listed on the JJ/WBGSP website, and located outside of the applicant’s country of citizenship and country of residence.

• Be in good health, with respect to the capacity to be a productive scholar on a continuous full-time basis for the duration of the master’s program, as certified by a medical doctor less than 3 months before the start of the master’s program.

• Not received any scholarship funding to earn a Graduate degree or its equivalent from any other sources funded by the government of Japan.

For scholarships to one of the preferred master’s programs, you need to apply to the university to be accepted into the program and also apply directly to JJ/WBGSP for the scholarship. The deadline for JJ/WBGSP scholarship applications for the academic year 2016-17 is 10 March 2016, 12 noon EST.

For scholarships to one of the partner master’s programs, please first apply to at least one of the partner university master’s programs. The university will send the JJ/WBGSP Secretariat a short list of eligible candidates who have been accepted by the partner program, and the JJ/WBGSP Steering Committee will award scholarships to a subset of the short-listed applicants.

OFID’s Scholarship Program sponsors outstanding young students from developing countries who wish to pursue a Master’s degree studies in a relevant field of development, from any recognized university/college in the world.

Field of Study: Master’s Degree related to the economics of development (poverty reduction, energy and sustainable development), environment (desertification), or other related science and technology fields.

Target Group: Nationals of developing countries (except OFID member countries).

Scholarship Value/Duration: The scholarships are worth up to $50,000 and covers the tuition fees, monthly allowance to cover living expenses, accommodation, insurance, books, relocation grants, and travel costs.

The funds will be spread over a maximum of one year, toward the completion of a Master’s degree.

Eligibility:

•  Must be between the ages of 23-32 at the time of submitting his/her application.
• Must have obtained or be on the verge of completing their undergraduate degree with a Baccalaureate from an accredited college/university, or its equivalent.
•  Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 rating system, or its equivalent.
• Must be matriculated at an accredited university for the upcoming academic year starting August/September 2016, and must maintain full-time status for the duration of the Master’s Degree.
•  Must be a national of a developing country (except OFID Member Countries)
• Must select a subject of study that pertains to OFID’s core mission, such as: economics of development (poverty reduction, energy and sustainable development), environment (desertification), or other related science and technology fields.
