International Excellence Scholarships in UK at University of East Anglia, 2018

The University of East Anglia is pleased to offer International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships for 2018 entry. Scholarships are awarded in amounts of 25% or 50% of your tuition fees and are deducted on a yearly basis from your tuition fees.

International Excellence Scholarships are designed to reward academically outstanding applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA.

If your scholarship includes a year abroad or a year in an industry where you may pay reduced tuition fees for that year, your scholarship award will be lowered to be proportional to those lower tuition fees for that year. Scholarship holders remain liable for paying any remaining tuition fees to UEA.
  • The award shall be made as a tuition fee scholarship by means of a fee discount. No cheque or payment shall be made directly to the student. The length of the award is specified in your scholarship notification email.

Entrance Requirements: When you apply for the scholarship you need to be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for the first year of an undergraduate degree course starting at UEA in September 2018.  Your offer should state that you are an international fee-paying student.

To be classified as an international fee-paying student you typically need to be a non-EU resident. Our fees and funding page has more details of who will pay international tuition fees, and therefore be eligible to apply for these scholarships. You need to be independently funding your studies, which mean that you can’t apply if an organization is sponsoring your study and paying your tuition fees for you. However, if you are getting a government loan you can still apply for the scholarships.

Please note that offer holders for courses in Norwich Medical School, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

You are eligible for an Undergraduate International Scholarship under these Terms if you meet all these criteria:

  • You are an overseas fee-paying student. If the fee status changes during your course from Overseas to Home/EU Fees the scholarship shall be discontinued.   • Have received from Ca’ Foscari an acceptance letter to the chosen programme after completing the pre-evaluation and admission procedures on apply.unive.it.

Fully Funded Peterhouse Graduate Studentships in UK for International Students

The new Peterhouse Graduate Studentships Competition is now available for Home/EU or overseas students to be taken up in October 2018. Students may be funded for a one-year MPhil on the condition that they intend to be candidates for the PhD, for which they will receive a maximum of three years funding.

Peterhouse is the oldest of the Cambridge colleges, founded by Hugo de Balsham, Bishop of Ely in 1284 and granted its charter by King Edward I. The College is a Registered Charity, no. 1137457. The “laudable design” of Hugo de Balsham, as expressed in the College’s founding instruments, was “to introduce scholars in the schools, who are to live together and study in the University of Cambridge; to dwell in the same College forever, and employ themselves with appropriate study, to the praise of God and the perpetual augmentation of the same university.”

Scholarship Description: 

Course Level: Studentships are available to pursue graduate degree (MPhil and Ph.D.) programme.

Scholarship Award: The value of each studentship will depend on whether students are in receipt of other grants. Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for a Peterhouse studentship, applicants must be accepted as a graduate student by the University of Cambridge. You need to make sure that the Faculty to which you apply also considers you for all University studentships for which you are eligible.  You can check how this is done by consulting the Graduate Admissions Tutor in the Faculty or on the Faculty’s website. Up 50 University of Stirling Scholarships are now open international students to study in 2018/2019. Scholarships are awarded in the form of a £4,000 tuition fee waiver and are open to all full-time masters students.

The University of Stirling is a public university founded by Royal charter in 1967. It is a plate glass university located in the Central Belt of Scotland, built within the walled Airthrey Castle estate close to Stirling. The university attracts students from a wide range of backgrounds, with more than 14,000 part-time and full-time students enrolled in the 2016/17 academic year. f) Be residing in New Zealand for the tenure of the scholarship,

g) Not be coming to the University of Waikato via a sponsoring body1, and h) not be coming to the University of Waikato on a Guaranteed Credit Arrangement2 or through a study abroad or student exchange agreement.

English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide satisfactory evidence of English language proficiency, generally in the form of an IELTS or TOEFL score. Scores can vary according to the qualification sought. If English is not first language applicant must provide one of the following as evidence of English language proficiency:
IELTS: Some qualifications require an overall band 6.5 and a Writing band 6.0. and some require 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each band (7.0 overall for Graduate Diploma in Teaching with no less than 7.0 in each band. 7.0 for the Bachelor of Teaching with no less than 7.0 in each band. 7.5 for the Master of Teaching and Learning). Scholarship Description:

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue PhD programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to graduates from students both legal studies and other disciplines who are keen to produce ambitious doctoral work in an excellent research environment.

Scholarship Award:

  • The Albrecht Mendelssohn Bartholdy Graduate School of Law awards scholarships of € 1,050 per month towards living expenses. An addition € 100 per month is granted for research costs.
  • Scholarships are granted for the full duration of the doctoral program. The continuation of your scholarship each year is subject to an annual review process based on satisfactory academic progress. Please indicate clearly in your application for admission whether or not you will be applying for a scholarship.
  • No tuition fees
  • Students at Albrecht Mendelssohn Bartholdy Graduate School of Law do not pay tuition fees.
  • All enrolled students must pay the university’s administration fee (approx. € 310 per semester). This includes a six-month ticket for public transport in the City of Hamburg.

Entrance Requirements:

Multiple factors will be taken into consideration in the admission procedure:

  • For our PhD programme, the minimum entry requirements are an outstanding degree in law or a non-legal research-orientated master’s degree (in particular in business administration, political science, or sociology).
  • Students whose first language is neither English nor German are required to prove their language proficiency by providing relevant certificates (for details see: Application documents).
  • Successful applications must have proven their ability to produce excellent academic performance, generally demonstrated by outstanding qualifications (cf. § 3 PromO AMBSL);
  • A suitable doctoral topic which corresponds to the research areas of the Graduate School; and
  • The availability of expertise among our members of the state to supervise the proposed topic.
