Applications are invited for the Queen’s Anniversary Prizes Scholarship. International applicants are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme. Scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate programme.

Scholarship is awarded to learn the following subjects:

Scholarship of £3,000 fee waiver will be awarded. Applicants awarded a scholarship will need to confirm their acceptance by paying the course deposit of £300, which will be deducted from the remainder of the tuition fees. If the applicant does not register for the course, there will be no refund of the deposit. If an applicant does not pay the deposit within four weeks of being notified of the scholarship award, the scholarship may be awarded to another applicant.

Irish Research Council is offering a number of scholarships for suitably qualified individuals to pursue a postgraduate degree in any discipline at an eligible HEI within Ireland. Scholars from any country can apply for these scholarships. The aim of the Irish Research Council Enterprise Partnership Scheme Postgraduate Scholarship is to link with an enterprise partner to award co-funded postgraduate scholarships to highly promising researchers.   • Scholarships are available to pursue a postgraduate degree in any discipline at an eligible HEI within Ireland.

  • A maintenance award of €16,000 per annum within the Funding Term;

  • to be obtained in the first year of the award; archival research costs; conference travel and participation; generic and/or specialist disciplinary skills training; publishing and write-up costs. The exact amount of eligible direct research expenses is subject to sufficient justification being made in the Scholarship Application Form up to a maximum of €2,250 per annum. Only vouched expenses incurred in actually carrying out the Research Project will be reimbursed.
  • The maximum that can be spent in any year of the Scholarship is €24,000, plus any unspent balance of eligible direct research support expenses carried over from the previous year of the Scholarship. Apart from this exception, funds may not be carried forward from one year to the next.
  • No funds provided by the Council as part of the Scholarship Fund may be used by the HEI to cover overhead or administrative costs.
  • Funding will be provided only for the Research Project as presented in the application form and if any significant departures from this become apparent during the development of the Research Project, the consent of the Council must be sought.
  • Expenses that occur outside the Funding Term are not eligible for the Scholarship.
  • While the Award is made to the individual Scholar, the Scholarship Fund is administered through the appropriate office within the HEI.

Commitment to Developing Africa

Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship finalists must apply to the Stanford MBA Program in either round one or round two to be eligible for the fellowship. Submitting in round one also gives you more time to prepare and plan for the program, including completing the visa application process.

2016 UNESCO MAB Young Scientists Awards for Developing Countries

UNESCO is inviting applications for MAB awards for young researchers carrying out interdisciplinary research in ecosystems, natural resources and biodiversity. Applicants from developing countries are encouraged to apply. The objectives of the MAB Young Scientists Award Scheme are to encourage young scientists, in particular those from developing countries, to use MAB research, project sites and biosphere reserves in their research; encourage young scientists who already use such sites to undertake comparative studies in other sites in or outside their own country. The aim of the UNESCO is to examine the impact of the division between further and higher education on strategies to widen participation in undergraduate education. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

  • Awards targets young researchers carrying out interdisciplinary research.
  • The MAB Young Scientists Awards targets young researchers carrying out interdisciplinary research in line with UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme. Priority is given to projects carried out in biosphere reserves.
  • The awards are set at a maximum of US$5,000 each.

  • Priority is given to interdisciplinary projects carried out in biosphere reserves designated under the Man and the Biosphere Programme or potential biosphere reserves.
