The scholarship takes the form of a waiver being the amount of money that will be subtracted from the full non-EEA tuition fee. UCV Scholarship for International Students in Netherlands, 2017

University College Venlo (UCV) offers five scholarships for pursuing bachelor’s degree programme. Only students of EU/EEA-countries can apply for these scholarships.

Scholarships are intended for talented students from outside the EU/EEA, who are admissible to the UCV. Furthermore, these students are dependent on financial support to be able to study abroad.

Campus Venlo is a Satellite Campus of Maastricht University located in Venlo, approximately 80 km north of Maastricht.

Each year applicants obtain at least 50 of the 60 ECTS (study points).

Study Subject: Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.

Study in the Netherlands with Fully-Funded MBA Scholarships, 2016

Applications for MBA scholarships are now open with Business School Netherlands (BSN), fully-funded through the Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP).

Applicants living and working in one of the 51 NFP countries are invited to apply with Business School Netherlands (BSN) by 22 July 2016 to facilitate timeous application for funding with EP-Nuffic by the 2 August 2016 deadline.

Approximately 1000 courses (Masters and Short Courses) are offered each year through the NFP scholarship whereby 20,000 applications are received. 7,000 nominations are processed and then assessed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch embassies, rounding up a final 2,000 candidates who are selected from the various Dutch institutions, BSN being one of the chosen institutes. In doing so, skilled managers and senior professional in the 51 NFP countries are enabled to drive change and improvement in their countries.

Call for applications in the Food Security industry
Business School Netherlands (BSN), the Action Learning business school, is now open for applicants wanting to study an International MBA with a focus on food security. Eligible applicants living in one of the 51 NFP countries and working in Government, Semi-Government, small-medium organisations and local community NGO’s are invited to apply for the International Action Learning MBA with a Major in Food Security programme until 22 July 2016.

This English part-time, blended learning MBA programme, allows for a very practical approach to educating business leaders of the future. The International Action Learning MBAis designed for working professionals in the food security/agriculture/farming sectors who are interested in finding solutions to current management issues within their own organisations whilst achieving personal enrichment and great ROI.

Eligible applicants: Applicants will first need to make application with BSN for the International Action Learning MBA with a Major in Food Security and ensure that they meet all the entry requirements of this programme. Priority focus is given to applicants who live and work in Sub-Saharan Africa, work within the food security/agriculture/farming sectors as well as female applicants.

The NFP is initiated and fully funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the budget for development cooperation. MBA Scholarship

The funding for this MBA Scholarship, better known as the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP), is made available through Nuffic the Governmental body responsible for the promotion of the Dutch Higher Education system worldwide.

NFP is a full (100%) MBA Scholarship programme designed to foster institutional development within certain parts of the world. Applicants to certain academic and short courses of Dutch higher education institutions apply for the fellowship to cover the cost of tuition fees, accommodation and international travel for study.

The eligible countries
Currently International MBA candidates from within the Country List are eligible to apply for funding through the Dutch Embassy or Consulate within their country.

Who can apply?

  • Mid-career professionals in employment
  • Only the individual applicant can apply for funding
  • The training must occur within the context of the organisation with which the applicant works
  • The training must be seen to help the organisation in its development strategies
  • Employer support is essential

Target group
While fellowships are awarded to individuals, the need for training must occur within the context of the organization for which an applicant works. The training must help the organization to develop its capacity. This means that applicants must be nominated by their employers. In fact, an application without the support of an employer will not be considered.

Priorities
Half of the available funding from the NFP budget should be spent on fellowships for female candidates and for candidates from sub-Saharan Africa. Apart from this priority is given to candidates from deprived groups and/or from marginalized regions.

Additionally, the overall objective is to spend 35% of the budget on grants and study programmes in food security and private sector development.

How to apply?

To be eligible for an NFP fellowship, candidates need to be admitted to the International Action Learning MBA programme.

For non-English speakers a TOEFL or IELTS language test is required. The minimum pass mark for TOEFL is 550 (paper); 213 (computer) or 80 (internet) and IELTS 6.0. Exemptions can be considered should your mother tongue be English and you have successfully completed your degree in English.

Prior to the application to EP-Nuffic (NFP), the applicant should first be accepted, and therefore comply with the requirements set by Business School Netherlands for the International Action Learning MBA.

Selection Criteria for  RSM MBA Scholarships

‣ The RSM MBA Awards Committee will assess the merit of your Dean’s Assistance Award application on the basis of the documents received and your MBA Programme application to the International Full-time MBA Programme.

‣ The RSM MBA Diversity Scholarship is merit-based and thus the RSM MBA Awards Committee will select the candidate based on your MBA application.

‣ For example, essays, CV, GMAT, business case (if applicable), admissions interview. Furthermore, the Awards Committee will look at your profile or aspects thereof such as your nationality, cultural background, gender, experience, upbringing, sustainability etc.

Notification:

‣ The winner will be formally notified within six weeks after the application deadline with an Award letter and Terms & Conditions which will need to be duly signed and returned to the Financial Aid Office as confirmation to accept the scholarship.

‣ Candidates who wish to be considered for this Dean’s Assistance award must provide:

  • a letter of motivation to the RSM MBA Awards Committee outlining your particular financial challenges
  • complete and submit the attached financial statement and financing planning overview

•  Not have the Dutch or an EU/EEA nationality;
•  Hold a non-Dutch secondary school diploma;
• Have been admitted to an International Master’s programme within one of the Graduate Schools mentioned above, the Bachelor’s programme in Economics and Business Economics or to University College Utrecht;
•  Hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree (for a Master’s programme) or secondary school diploma (for a Bachelor’s programme), or an equivalent thereof;
•  Be able to comply with the conditions to obtain a Dutch visa;

Failure to meet one or more of these criteria automatically means the student is not eligible for this scholarship.

It is not possible to apply directly for the scholarship but when you apply for admission to the programme of your choice, you can indicate whether you wish to be considered for this scholarship. The selection committees will review the application files for possible nominees.
