How to Apply: If you have decided which study programme you would like to follow at Inholland University of Applied Sciences, you can register online via Studielink.

When you register with Inholland, you will need to submit the following additional documents:

  • A valid passport or Identity Card (when living in the European Union). The date of expiry must be at least one month after your departure from the Netherlands.
  • A copy of a valid residence permit which proves you are entitled to stay in the Netherlands. This only applies to students from outside the EU/EER or Switzerland and when you are older than 18 years at the start of your course.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship will cover the following:

  • The Walraven scholarship is for one year, with conditional renewal for a second year upon successful completion of the first year. For a full scholarship, the tuition fee for the Astronomy Research master’s programme will be reduced to the amount of the home fee and you will receive an allowance of up to €11,000 per year for living costs. Partial scholarships may also be awarded. The Walraven scholarship is paid as a monthly allowance. If you stop your Astronomy master’s studies for whatever reason, the Walraven scholarship payments will be stopped directly.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • You must be a student with a non-Dutch nationality

Scholarship can be taken in the Netherlands

Eligibility: Eligible candidates are selected for a scholarship on the basis of the following criteria:

  • The academic quality and results of the preceding education, as evidence, for example, by grades, test scores, publications, letters of recommendation;
  • The student’s career vision, promise in the proposed field of study;
  • The student’s societal engagement (e.g. extracurricular activities)
  • The quality and relevance of the motivation letter;
  • The quality of the application itself (completeness, accuracy, consistency)

In order to be awarded this scholarship student should:

  • Have a non-Dutch nationality;
  • Hold a non-Dutch secondary education degree;
  • Have been admitted to one of the Master’s programmes mentioned above;
  • Be able to comply with the conditions to obtain a Dutch visa if applicable;
  • Failure to meet one or more of these criteria automatically means the student is not eligible for this scholarship.

Nationality: Students from non-Dutch nationality are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

How to Apply: Students who wish to be considered for the scholarship have to apply for admission to the programme before 1 February. There is no separate application for the LEG International Talent Scholarship. An application for a Utrecht Excellence Scholarship will be considered an application for a LEG International Talent Scholarship as well. If you don’t apply for a UES (e.g. because you are an EU/EEA student) you have to request in your motivation letter (which is a requested document for your application for admission, see ‘Admission and Application’ per programme) to be nominated for the scholarship. Applications arriving after the 1 February deadline will not be considered for a scholarship in the Master’s programme that starts the next academic year.

  • Be emailed to newstudents.ucg-at-rug.nl no later than 1 February 2018- the email title must be: ‘Letter of Motivation – USP Scholarship’.

The University Twente Scholarships (UTS) are scholarships for excellent international students from both EU/EEA as well as non-EU/EEA countries, applying for a graduate programme (MSc) at the University of Twente.

The UT Scholarship is meant for those international students who show excellence, both academically as well as socially. The UT masters scholarship is not available for Dutch and/or current UT Bachelor students.

You must meet all UT requirements to succeed with your application. If you apply for a UT scholarship without meeting all the requirements, your application will ALWAYS be unsuccessful.

Scholarship benefits
The scholarship value varies from €3,000 up to a maximum of €25,000 for one year.

Number of awards
Approximately 50 scholarships are available. There is a limited number of UTS scholarships available every year, and only the most excellent students will be nominated.

Sponsorship duration
This is awarded for one year of study and extended for a second year if study results are sufficient.

In case of a two-year study programme, students can receive an additional UTS of an amount equal to that in the first year to cover the expenses of the second year. However, the scholarship will only be continued during the second when students meet the progress requirements for the UTS.

These progress requirements in order to get a scholarship for the second year are:

  • The student must have obtained an average grade of 7 (out of 10) at the end of the third quartile of the first year of the programme;
  • The student must have obtained at least 50% of European Credits at the end of the third quartile of the first year programme;
  • The student must have obtained 90% of European Credits before start of the second year programme.

Method of Application
In order to apply for this scholarship, you already need to be (provisionally) admitted to one of the qualifying Master programmes.

Unlike in the past, all applications are now through an online application process (after meeting all requirements mentioned). If you meet all the criteria and requirements listed above, then you are welcome to start the application process for a UTS scholarship. For the academic year 2018-2019, Tilburg University is offering TSB Research Master Scholarships. The scholarship consists of a tuition fee waiver for all non-EEA students at Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences (TSB).

The Tilburg University is a public research university specializing in the social and behavioural sciences, economics, law, business sciences, theology and humanities, located in Tilburg in the southern part of the Netherlands.

Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing research master’s programme at the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences (TSB).

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Individual Differences and Assessment.

Scholarship Award: For the academic year 2018/2019, non-EEA students will receive a tuition fee waiver of €12,440, reducing the tuition fee to € 2,060.   • A Bachelor’s and/or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as psychology, sociology, organizational sciences, human resources;
  • You can apply for admission BEFORE you have graduated, but you must graduate by September 1, 2018, at the latest.   • An average grade of 75% for courses in the last two years of the Bachelor’s program (or in your Master’s program, if applicable);

Your background education should contain at least one introductory statistics course and courses that include multiple regression, analysis of variance, factor analysis and research methodology.  Your background should be clear from the course descriptions and the statistics checklist which you must include in your application;
  • Strong motivation, excellent skills and talent for carrying out scientific research, which you should demonstrate in your motivation letter and other application documents.

  • Not receive a full coverage scholarship for the same period of study as the AMS scholarship
  • Have submitted a complete application to one of the (Master’s) programs of the AMC UVA
  • Have been (or will be) admitted to one of the (Master’s) programs of the AMC UVA
  • Be able to comply with the conditions to obtain a Dutch visa (if applicable).

Eligible Regions: non-EEA nationality

Selection criteria
As we have a limited number of scholarships, only the most eligible candidates are selected for a scholarship on the basis of the following criteria:
  • Their academic excellence and promise in the proposed field, as evidenced by their academic records, letters of recommendation, written work and/or publications;
  • The quality of their letter of motivation.
  • Have a TOEFL (internet-based) overall score of 100 (with a minimum score of 22 in each of the different components), or an IELTS (academic) overall score of 7.0 (with at least 7.0 in each of the four components), or are you an English native speaker and/or was the diploma that qualifies you to enter higher education completely taught in English.
Only students who have been admitted to the Master’s program Medical Informatics or the program Medicine of the AMC UVA can be awarded a scholarship. Selection will take place in January/|February for the Master’s Medical Informatics. Applicants will be notified before April 15.
Conditions
Amsterdam Merit Scholarships are only awarded to applicants who have been admitted to one of the (Master’s) programs of the AMC UVA. A scholarship granted for a specific academic year cannot be transferred to another academic year. Students who have been granted an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship are required to assent to the conditions applying to the scholarship in writing before the scholarship will be remitted.
A scholarship will only be extended to the second year of study if the applicant has successfully completed 80% or more of the maximum number of credits in the first year of study.

AMC UVA applicants wishing to apply for an AMS scholarship should send an email with their letter of motivation, recommendation and CV to Ms. M.J.L. Lenoir at m.j.lenoir@amc.uva.nl.

When to apply?
Applications for an AMS scholarship for the Master’s program Medical Informatics should be submitted before, applications for the Medicine program should be submitted before January 15.
